A Potential Firestorm: Please Pray for our Nation

Yesterday, May 30th, our former president was found guilty on 34 counts of falsifying business records and will probably face jail time. The guilty verdict of a presidential candidate during an election year creates the perfect firestorm for great divisiveness, the likes of (I hope I am wrong) that which we have not yet seen in our lifetime. With all of the turmoil that has been dividing this nation already–from the support and influx of illegal immigration, which helps flame the increased encouragement of lawlessness, to college campus protests in favor of terrorists, to the upcoming Pride Month, and increased apostasy–I ask that you please pray for the peace, safety and security of our nation. May this not erupt into a 2020-style summer of riots, and/or Jan. 6 -style chaos.

I ask that you please pray that the May 30th verdict does not increase our nation’s internal divisiveness, and set a “Bananna Republic” precedent for U.S. political opponents; which could lead to a stepping stone towards The Great Reset.

As Abraham Lincoln once said, quoting Jesus, “If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand” (Mark 3:22-26). Also, in his Gettysburg address, said, “…and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.” (https://www.gotquestions.org/united-states-Bible.html)

There is a lot that is being said today in regards to this matter, and while A Closer Look is intended for Conservative social/political and religious pieces, the purpose of this particular post is primarily to encourage prayer for peace and stability. But if anyone would like to hear the general Conservative consensus on the matter of the ruling, I would encourage you to watch and listen to Judicial Watch, The Ben Shapiro Show, Glenn Beck, The Rubin Report, and Clay Travis and Buck Sexton if you have time.
